Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, bringing glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

    God’s promises - so immensely encouraging, so extravagantly numerous, so entirely undeserved, so gently calming and so deeply comforting. What written or spoken word of man could ever compare to the promises of God?

    This blue bird is symbolic of our freedom to believe in promises and beauty and the fleeting moments of connection that are joy. The face and hand are gentle and strong offering protection but also release.

    This painting resonated most with me out of the selection on the gallery page. The obvious symbolism is how Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to those saints who would tarry and wait for Him. The Holy Spirit is such an unseen in the lives of Christians - often only seen in the fruits that He cultivates. It’s challenging to explain but even if all those benefits (peace, strength, courage, etc) were not a factor I would still so dearly value His presence in my life.
